Chef Oscar’s love for the kitchen started in a very young age, he remembers always wanting to help his Mother prepare supper for the family.
In 2003 he arrives to California with the dream of running his own kitchen, he started in Elephant Bar in Mission Viejo, as dishwasher and quickly moved up the latter to the kitchen with in a year he was granted a head cook position, he then moved to Cheesecake Factory and for 5 consecutive years he was awarded employee of the year for his work ethic and personality. Most recently he prides himself in working for NickCo. Hospitality Group, having earned the opportunity of becoming head chef.
In 2016 he decided to share his love for the Mexican kitchen and opened his own gourmet food truck with the vision of Edgar Estrada, they quickly took the food truck world by storm. In 2018 He was granted a partnership with Sol Agave Group. Chef’s Oscar philosophy is to inspire the new generation with his style of cooking.
